Namie, Black and White.
I’m always happy and proud of my friends who showcase their work, be it a dance or music or whatever.
Namie has been no exception with her band Canvas Conversations. As I left for Tassie, our musical journeys began to split again. I was at a standstill, she progressed so much. In fact, she has progressed so much since the start, about 9 years ago, when Namie, Leonard and I formed our first ever band together, the acoustic band Enthrall Masquerade.

Watching her on stage was so good to see and to hear. Her experimental music and sounds drowned out the distant chatter within the walls of the Esplanade. Her vocals made my heart twitch a little and when she sang her song Black and White, re-arranged for the band, it brought back so many memories and it just makes me so proud to see where she is standing today. Yeah in Sydney Jam, Glen and I jammed that song together with Namie. Even til now, I listen to her original mp3 file of that song and it still pulls me down with so much emotions.
I am truly blessed to have known her and to have collaborated with her before. The best part about all this is that through our journeys of different kinds, we still remain good friends throughout the past 9 to 10 years.
