I’m missing Scotland and my friends pretty badly already. I actually brought along my notebook hoping to write a poem or two inspired by my stay there, while I was still there. However I did not write anything. Instead, I am inspired to write something based on my emotions now that I am back from Scotland feeling alone again.
Anyway, I met Angie yesterday, right after I landed. 🙂
If I could give her an award, it will be the ‘Best Neighbour Ever’ Award.
I’m writing this in Scotland, but with a heavy heart, for it is my last night here. I really enjoyed myself here. The place is pretty tranquil, and the friends I have made here have been really welcoming and so friendly, particularly Freddy, Rumi, Yumi. The Singaporeans too, Jian Liang, Liwen, Eileen. Thanks for all the memories.
For the international friends I made, it’s really pretty heartbreaking that I will not be able to see them ever again, unless they come to Singapore. But then again, I will be going to Tasmania to study for three and a half years. So unless they miraculously come over during my summer break, I won’t ever see them again. So heartbreaking.
I occasionally wonder if I was better off not coming at all, so that I will not feel this way to begin with. But no, this emotion is a necessary one. It makes me feel human. It makes my heart of stone warm a little. But then again, I have a feeling it will freeze again and these people will just become memories of stone, just like my Page One friends.
Once again, thank you for all the memories.
Yumi, fellow rocker. Guitarist, very friendly and even taught me a japanese word. Hahaha.
Rumi. Had tons of fun with her, together with Brandon and Jian Liang at the Melrose Abbey. Anime and karaoke lover.
I will post more photos of the other people when I get back.
As for the Singaporean friends, I hope I see them, or bump into them in Singapore. Heh heh.
So I have 2 new songs which I recorded in November, forgot to share it here.
I’ve got a job as well, starting in Jan 7. I hope things will turn out fine in this job. It also means I am finally going to get a decent pay again, unlike NS, which pays me peanuts.
I have also just come back from Tasmania, Australia yesterday. Beautiful place. I miss it already. For summer, it was pretty chilly, with the temperature at an average of 15.C. The coldest was 8.C and I was dressed for summer. Hahaha.
Anyway, will upload the pictures once I have gone through them properly.
Flying off to Scotland to visit Brandon this coming friday. 🙂
