So an update from Saturday.

 

We had 3 new members coming in last Saturday.I haven’t really talk to them yet,hope to know them better,but i got other choir stuffs 1st.1stly,bass vocal training.This is more for Matthew lah,though i made Luke and myself do it as well.It’s just vocal lines i created by myself to practise at home and i decided to share it with the basses too.Haha.

 

Sunday was combined choir prac for Easter Vigil.Great to see the same old faces again.I missed Easter Vigil last year as i was in US,so it’s really great to be back.I was telling ppl like Milli,it’s more like a choir supergroup LOL.

 

In terms of music,i’ve been composing 2 more songs.I realised that my music composition style has changed drastically and suddenly too.For the past 2-3 years i’ve been composing epic symphonic progressive metal stuffs.Now suddenly i’m doing gothic rock or acoustic songs.Trying to compose symphonic metal is so hard again.End of an Era for me?LOL.Ok a pun not all will get.

 

Been writing alot more stuffs too.I took up a 31prompts challenge in DeviantART and i’ve done 2 so far:Aethēr and The Cassandra Syndrome.I’m trying to tackle one more tonight if dinner at Claire’s does not drag.My pageviews have been picking up too.Alas,my efforts are starting to pay off bit by bit.

 

I’m probably having Crystal come over in May/June to assist me in some recordings which i have been doing at home.2 of my compositions and 2 covers.w00tloops.I miss jamming!Argh.

I left Fuel immediately after it ended instead of hanging around cos i was feeling pretty down and out.So i decided to walk around the neighbourhood for a short while.On the way to the bus stop,i met Marianne Choo.It’s been AGES since i last saw her man.We talked mainly about our jobs.I think both of us kinda agreed on one thing,that reality and the cold harsh working world simply takes away the fun in the things we do.So perhaps it’s a good thing after all that i did not pursue music.

 

Still,it was really fun meeting her.I think she’s someone i still look up to the most.Most of the valuable things she said while she was still conducting Halmm are still remembered by me.I think even when i teach others too,i take reference from her words once in awhile too.

 

So i went to the bus stop after that.855 came.I wanted to take,but it was PACKED as usual.So i decided to just wait for the next bus.980 came.I got on it,and lo and behold i saw Kit boarding the bus at Thomson Plaza.I figured if i kept on staring at her she will see me.She did,and i think got a lil freaked out haha.We alighted anyway and had quite a chat too.Also catching up on work amongst the others.

 

It’s funny how God works thing.Had i not taken a walk around the neighbourhood,or had i stayed with Fuel after it ended,i would not have met Marianne.Had i taken the 855 instead of taking 980,i would not have met Kit.

Ok on the bright side of all these death stuffs,i think learning point from all this is that i really have to cherish whatever time i have on Earth,no matter how old i live to.=)

 

Come to think about it,if armagaddeon strikes Earth and everyone dies,won’t it be sad if you spent your last moments on Earth taking a poo?Hahahaha.

 

Hopefully today will pass by smoothly.All of us are hating ITP already and just can’t wait for it all to end.Was chatting with Mou mou last night and it seems cd shopping day is approaching!!!

 

Been listening to some of the older stuffs in my playlist.I guess i’ve dwelled so much on my new stuffs that i have forgotten about the good old songs i had which saw me go through life.I mean songs from Yellowcard?Songs like Rocket,Rough Draft.Ah well.Other good songs include A7X’s Bat Country,The Gathering’s Liberty Bell and King Crimson’s In The Court Of The Crimson King.Really really good stuffs.

 

I can’t wait for lunch and dinner!No it’s not about the food,but the people i’m gonna meet up with!=D

Ok,i am serious.

 

I think i’m gonna die soon.I don’t know why,i don’t know anything.I just can sense it.It’s that same old feeling in me again.Usually i’m not too sure what it is.But this time i can tell death is approaching.I may be wrong,i hope i am.But even if it’s not me,it may be him.And no i don’t want him to go.He’s someone very dear to me.I’m very worried.If i were to die,so be it.It’s probably God’s plan after all.Furthermore,if i’m dying for the sake of ______ _____,then so be it.

 

I just had a talk with Regina Grace.It’s really comforting to know that someone takes me 100% seriously at all times(so much that when i deliberately make an unfunny joke,she doesn’t get it at first).This time i really had no one else to talk to but her,busy as she is.Thanks anyway.While not 100% assured,i kinda feel better.

 

My stomach isn’t feeling better though.I’ve fallen ill his week.Headache,flu,stomach troubles.Not a good combination at all.It’s really making me miserable.Hopefully it does not affect my playing and singing tml.I’m cantoring tml too,pfft.

 

What if i die all of a sudden and i fail to say goodbye to the people i love?

That’s what office seems like now lol.

 

Not feeling that well for the past 2 days.My stomach seems a lil twisted and shaky for the past 2 days and it doesn’t seem to be subsiding.I bet it’s ridiculous office eating hours!No wonder people die young these days.Nah kidding.

 

Been on Youtube searching for new music.I kinda like this band Delain.Gothic/symphonic metal which is quite nice.Their vocalist,Charlotte Wessels,is pretty good IMO.She isn’t like Vibeke Stene or Tarja Turunen.1stly she was a very difference stage presence.She has this very lively vibe in her which is pretty attractive to me.It’s different from Mariangela Dermutas,she sucks(have you heard her sing World Of Glass?!?!?!).She looks lively and bubbly too,not too serious and mysterious as Vibeke Stene heh.I like both styles anyway.

Ahh…i guess i have misunderstood the whole situation with you.Lucky i have yet to take any action.Well phew.

 

Today is Friday but i’m not at MOE now cos my branch has got a retreat.So i’m having a lil retreat of my own too at home=)

 

Work has been okay so far.Pretty boring.It’s actually a disadvantage that i go to MOE though.Because it’s so slack with hardly any deadlines to meet,i think i will be less efficient as my friends who are working in Architecture firms.Neh-neh.

 

Yesterday we went to Unity Primary School which was pretty interesting since it was about acoustic architecture in the school hall.The ceiling is certainly unique and with the Big Ass Fans too.I wonder if they’ll do anything to the louvre doors.

 

So right now i think i shall just spend some quiet time by myself and reflect.Have not reflected for quite awhile.Ahhh……

One year on,jamming with Enthrall Masquerade is still as fun.

 

Of the old setlist,i only chose to re-jam Animal Instinct.I chose Hurt as well and my own song,A Twist In The Future.It sounds nicer with Namie is on the piano,i’m on acoustic guitar and bass is omminted.Recordings of the 2 covers are nice too,though my overpowering bass volume killed the quality a little.

 

Hopefully we’re jamming this Saturday again.A good and much needed break from this attachment at MOE.
