Ok last post before flying off to US.Unlike my previous trip,i think i will blog there=)

 

So yesterday i finalli got some good speakers(Creative) for my laptop.They’ve been realli good wif no bass problems for me to bark about since the subwoofers are integrated in the twin speakers itself!Neat stuff.

I wun be bringin my speakers to US though.Ah,saddening.

 

Studio

Went to schoool yesterday to meet up wif Namie and Leonard.Well the main purpose was to record the bass for one of Namie’s songs.I faced one of my greatest problems which is keeping in time.Other than dat,my preciseness in my notes were really tested too.But honestly everythin went well lahz hahaz.2hours to record a 2min song wth.And dat’s bass alone.When i’m in US Leonard will record the drums for the song and we predict that it’ll take longer.But everythin was realli fun and stuff.Studio work rocks!

 

Orpheus

So as u can see i had a rather eventful yesterday,but it’s not all!I watched Oprhee,a french movie of a variation of the tale of the greek musician Orpheus wif sis.It was good,not the exact storyline,but they grabbed the essence of the main story and wrapped their own flesh around it. The ending was rather confusing.What we though was the ending was not,according to wikipedia hahahaz.Still a good watch.7.5/10=)

 

Ok time to start dreading about the long flight and start thinkin about the reward of the long flight-my dad.Toodles.

Female Metal Singers

Female Metal Singers

Been watchin and listenin alot of Nightwish,Therion,Sirenia,Tristania,Leaves’ Eyes these days.Here are my comments(maybe excpt Leaves’ Eyes) heeeee heeeeeee.

 

Nightwish sounds much betta wif Tarja.I’m not sayin Anette is lousy.Both singers open up different dimensions in the music,and well i juz prefer Tarja’s era,though she can’t pronounce her words properly.’Took a stiiiip outside’ hahaz.

Anette Olzon.She dresses worse than this live.Actualli she looks good here.

 

Therion sounds realli good live when Lori Lewis and Katarina Lilja pair up together.Both hav got their own flair when they sing and it goes well wif da song and wif Snowy Shaw and Mats Leven and Thomas Vikstrom.Lori Lewis looks stupid wearing a crown,so i shall put a pic of her not wearing it.

Sirenia had 3 albums wif 3 diff vocalists.I think the first 2 albums are betta.Moika Pederson is juz not right for Sirenia.I think the time when they worked wif Henriette

Epica’s Simone Simons is following along the Tarja line.She goes well wif the music of Epica together wif the growls and screams,but she’s not as powerful.Hence not as powerful as Nightwish.And the style of the singing and melody seems to be quite similar wif each other.It get’s abit stagnant after awhile.

Ex-vocalist of Tristania’s Vibeke Stene is prob da best lookin front-woman in a metal band hahaz.Her singing style is realli unique which realli goes very well wif Tristania’s darkish mellowish music.

So friday’s session which me,Gabby,Anthony and Ben worked hard for had a poor turnout as compared to previous weeks.There were onli 13 who came and dat included Uncle Greg.Ah wellz.It was a good attempt and stuff,just that the numbers were quite demoralising.Was chatting on msn wif Tarcia last nite and we realli were concered over quite a few stuff,which some were sorted by Jarvis today.

 

Disappoinment

Just when i finally decided to watch a Chelsea match to support them,they lost to Spurs 2-1.Urgh.

Ok so my new band’s up and running.Jammed today and recorded our 1st cover of Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’.My voice is realli thin and shaky when i sing high.Good learning experience for me.Rather messy lahz since it was onli our 1st jamming session.So we’re jamming few covers and some of our songs.Namie and I will most prob be da main lyricists i think.

So ytd i did not go jazzband.Not realli worth it to go all the way to school in my opinion anywayz,but dat’s beside the point.Well met up wif Anthony and Gabriella to discuss friday’s session.Had to be kinda rushed sinced we’re goin church today again to present our ideas to Jarvis.Well i would say it’s realli productive.We actualli clarified alot of stuff that were pending for quite awhile.We even came up wif an activity which realli might just work.I’m realli optimistic about it.

 

Ok chatting wif JiamJiam made me lose my train of thought.

 

Goin for daily mas wif Anthony and Gabby then dinner then meeting wif Jarvis later at 6pm onwards.Hopefully Kevin and maybe Julian pops by.=) I’m so involved in church these days.I guess i’m juz tryin to help out as much as i can before i fly off to US.Well my heart is in church choir and Fuel.Nowhere else.*hint hint*

Training

Training

Today’s been a good day so far.Woke up at 7 30am,1st at home to wake up.Went to church at 9am for fuel training.We kinda evaluated friday’s fuel session which went rather well=).I’m in charge of this coming friday’s session.Rawr.Ended at 11am.Went wif Julian to starbucks where we joined Isabel there.While they mugged i started preparing for fuel session while sms-chatting wif Leonard at da same time.

 

I’m feeling pretty dizzy now.Argh.I dun feel like goin jazzband tml,so i’m meetin Anthony at 8pm to discuss the fuel stuff b4 presenting our ideas wif Gabby,Ben and Kevin on tuesday to Jarvis,whom i realised was mentioned in the latest issue of catholic news.Hahaz he went to Cologne in 2005 for WYD.Lol.Ok random.And time for more random stuff.

 

I have a friend.Her name is Grace Yu.She is also known as jiamjiam.She’s nuts.

 

U noe i usually come up wif my own terms to explain myself clearly rite?She got damn highy amused when i imprompt-ed the phrase ‘Mental Inertia’ many weeks back.Until now she still gets tickled by it.

Ytd during dinner,she asked Geri how much her mp3 costed.Geri said ‘Three Four Eight(348) Bucks’.Grace went ‘Ha so cheap?Three for Eight bucks??’>_<"

Grace used the free wireless service to surf the net on her phone.And where does she go to?My Blog!Oh wait,she may be readin this on her phone right now.Hello JiamJiam!!!!!

 

Ok i’m havin dat mindless syndrome of mine again where my mind suffers a slight paradigm shift into nothingness.Great.I’m feeling so lethargic.I’ll be off to US in a week’s time and i’m not realli lookin forward to it.

Love?/Valentine’s Day

So yesterday was valentine’s day and i didn’t have a date.Awwwwwww…….No i dun care actualli.Not exactly lookin for love right now anywayz.It’s somethin which will come to me with time.I wun realli bother to search for it.

 

Met up wif Zheng Yi yts and he came over to my house for fun.1st thing he did when he came to my house was to sleep!Crazy.Anywayz he juz hung out for awihle lahz.Read February’s issue of Playeur,played Burnout Revenge,along wif other random stuff.

 

Wanted to fufill our katong laksa but hawker centre stall was closed.So we went to casaurina prata.I didnt noe they had DOUBLE EGG!!!!!It was good hahaz.I had kosong and double egg,he had kosong and honey prata(?) and we shared one egg.Was kinda stuffed.Thomson plaza after dat.Wanted to go Popular,but we were browsing though Maxim and BassPlayer for so long by the time we wanted to go Popular,it was closed,so we parted ways.

 

Kinda tired,came home and saw my sis watching Hannah Montata?!Hahaz so i watched wif her.Msn at night and there was a stupid moth which could not get out of my room.Argh.

 

K so today got fuel.Tarcia did not tell me the questions,so it’ll prolly be a surprise to me.I got free banana split!Angie where are you?!?!?!?

End Of An Era

End Of An Era

It’s 3:40am as i am typing this sentence.

 

I juz rewatched Nightwish’s End Of An Era dvd.Needless to say,it was fantasmic.Yet so bittersweet.End Of An Era.Tarja’s last concert wif Nightwish.I still prefer Nightwish wif Tarja rather than Anette Olzon.Nightwish will never be the same.The old Nightwish was the Nightwish i fell in love with,not this one.I guess we can only embrace change huh?

 

On a seperate note,Anette needs to have a better fashion sense.Her dressing is horrendous.Tarja’s costumes are much nicer.

 

Ok dat’s all i’m goin to input for now.I ned some sleep.Toodles.

4 Years Ago/Death

4 Years Ago

I was in Secondary 2.My class was 2E4.That year was filled with memories.And i was kinda overwhelmed wif these memories today.

 

Went out wif Clement and Arthur today.Yes Arthur Chan!Well we had lunch at macs,then 9balled abit b4 movie.We watched CJ7.Funny at some points,but yea quite a stupid movie.Stephen Chow’s a good actor though.So was the little boy.Oh yea some characters were pretty hilarious too.

 

9balled again for quite awhile before settling for dinner at Subway.Recalled alot of good memories there.From the ridiculous and meaningles phrases of Abhishan Pun to the term ‘Congruent Conman Chai’,we recalled them all.FYI Abhishan was my classmate in p1 hahahaz.Kinda miss his funny stuff.Oh wellz.It’s realli good recalling such stuffs lahz.And how we still can laugh at them and how they have affected our lives.

I have to say,death is somethin i have been blogging about and taking about for the past 2-3 months.And as in serious talk wif frens like Matt Wong.Could this mean anythin?

 

I remember somethin which Angie asked me at Yong Tau Foo a few months ago.If we believe in Jesus Christ and in heaven,why are we still so afraid of death?i never realli pondered much about the answer,but i realised somethin,i ain’t scared of death anymore.And why i dun want to die now,it’s because there’s still stuff for me to do here on Earth.And maybe,it’s because.i can’t bear to leave some ppl here.
