I didn’t know church ppl could go on and on and on with whatever food they have lol.

 

Met up Fuel members on Saturday to discuss MIP structure and what should be done and stuff.I brought a huge packet of FruitPlus to share.So among Tarcia,Joel,Eunice,Fran,Xavier,Andrew and I,we whacked up the entire packet of more than 30 in no time lol.I had to leave the meeting early for choir,but MIP sounds exciting for Fuel.Not as exciting for Halmm though.

 

Structure

Met them up again on Sunday again to discuss further on this and that.Brought Swenses Fries to the youth room which Koinonia whacked up in no time too.Church ppl are crazy man.Halfway during the meeting we digressed a little and started to gossip a little about this and that about some people.Quite scary eh,gossiping and stuff.Haha i only do so in a small crowd of 2.Not very nice ar,to tell in front of everyone lol.But whatever we talked about then and whatever we agreed or disagreed.I still feel very blessed to be in Fuel with such awesome Fuel members.All you people are loved!We all get along really well,through thick and thin since Fuel came about and less ppl turned up,we few really stuck close and stuff.Heartening to know that=).

 

Went to jam in the evening.We could not enter the jazzband room,so we just sat by the benches and just sang our sings,focusing more on vocal harmonies,making sure they sit with the chord structures and stuff.We only have 3 more practices left.

 

Oh i wasted 12 bucks today lol.While waiting for Leonard,Namie and I took turns to buy drink from the new 7-11.So she bought chocolate milk,and my turn to enter,i wanted to get a slurpee.While walking there i saw the US Maxim mag with Marisa Miller as cover girl.I just HAD to buy it lol.So no drink,but a good mag.Namie and I were flipping through it and there were really funny stuff too lol.But hey,it’s my most fav blonde that counts the most.=)

So i have managed to catch up with alot of my schoolwork.I’m just left with the drainage which i think i’ll do in school tml since i’m not that confident to do it all by myself at home.I’m bound the make mistakes.But after a few hesitant stuffs and alot and alot of procrastination,i managed to get most of them done like rearranging the service centres,adding in Storey Shelter amongst the many stuff i was lacking for my Joint Crit2.

 

Germany lost.The replaced Philipp Lahm for the 2nd half.Not only did they remove my most fav player in the team.I do think it was a tactical error too.But hey!At least they made it all the way to the finals.

So today went back to school to do work.1st thing UncleTek said when he saw me was to label me as lazy,just like my groupmates.WTH.I came to school to do work mind u.It’s irritating when ppl label me like that,and label non exam takers lucky.

Ok so as u all know,my crit on tuesday was a total screw up.But as u all know,it could have been worse.Hmm,really need to buck up and stuff.I keep on saying that year2 i should put in more effort and stuff,but well,it ain’t easy lah.And i’m really not trying hard enough.But good that friends are always there to really encourage me and stuff.If not ar,i would really give up hope since ending part of year1.

 

Stumbled across a blog on msn and the fella’s obsessed with Nightwish.Or Tuomas and Anette rather lol.Hardly a thing about Marco,Emppu or Jukka mentioned lol.But yea,really quite an obsession.The biggest obsession i had was with Vibeke Stene,but not until liddat lol.

Watched Zohan today with Brandon.Lol it’s really really really random.Stupid,yes.But stupid in a good way.Worth the money and time.Really u all should watch it.Good shit.

So today we had to submit Joint Crit 2 stuff.I would say that lucky i went to plot on Friday.Heard that the plotting room was packed today.Anyway dad drove me to school today cos i was carrying my massing model and stuff.Was pretty slack since i did most of the stuff.The stuff that i could have improved wre all printed out so there wasn’t anything i could do to it.So i compiled my A3 journal and off i went to submit.2nd breakfast with Chun Ming at foodcourt1.Lucky he didn’t order chicken chop,if not we would have submitted to our hunger lol.Ok nvm.But yea.Caught a glimpse at Liyen’s crit and now i’m pretty nervous,since i’m 1st to present tomorrow.

 

Went to Ang Mo Kio with Keat Ling for a drink and accompany her to settle some insurance stuff and i was off home to rot my day away.

 

It’s so wierd,just totally not having the chance to communicate with someone so much that i almost forgot that person.Of course i didn’t,but this whole thing is just wierd.What’s wierder is,not being able to blog what i really want to blog.It’s pretty frustrating when i have to rethink what i’m typing when this is my blog after all.Honestly maybe i should.I don’t want to bother what you people infer from here.If you infer correctly,congrats.25/25 for u for Source-based Questions.If you do not,then just shut up.Thanks.

Plotting/Worth/Briefing

Well so yesterday i finally went to do my plotting with Keat Ling and Chun Ming.A few others were there too like Wen Sheng,Douglas,Sam,Liyen and a few others.Everything looks quite okay to me though i felt that my 1st Storey Plan could have been done better.Lunch at BroadWay after that with Chun Ming.As usual he collected loose receipts to get more free watermelons lol and we ate prata after our main meal again.

 

Chun Ming:You don’t like egg yolk and you still order DOUBLE egg prata.

 

Hahaz well yea,ironically yes.

 

I wonder how the rest are faring.

 

Worth

Fuel ytd had unusually ALOT of ppl.But it was a really good session.We wrote a good point about everyone on a piece of paper each and 3/4 of mine was about music and bass=/.Lol but yea the ones closer to me wrote really nice stuff=).Thanks!You ppl are loved too.And it was those kind where everyone gave each other the sign of piece which turned out to be a mass hugging session as usual lol.Reminded me of The Conference last year.

 

Icekimo for a quick purchase after that and we went to the Sing Ming condo to play at the playground til 11 30pm.I was on the pretty small swing for like 20mins straight and my ass hurt pretty badly lol.Overall was quite a good day yesterday lol.

 

Briefing

Woke up early today to join the Enthrall Masquerade ppl for the WAFF briefing today at NUS.Oh the place was not L15 nor T15.It was LT15 hahahaz.Well so our slot is 1 40pm,the 1st to perform among the bands performin there.Whoosh.Hopefully we don’t screw up (too much).And the stupid sandwich vending machine there kept on taunting me=(.

 

Jamming after that was pretty good.We’re almost set for the WAFF Carnival already.So yea.Yayest!

 

Jamming again tml.And i’m building another quick massing model tml too.

6 Months

6 Months

It’s 2:01am as i am typing this on a Friday morning,20 June 2008.

 

20 June 2008….it has been exactly 6 months since our greatly antiipated Cantate Domino carolling concert.I’m sure all of us experienced the emptiness after the concert,enjoyed a nice christmas(well i did not enjoy mine) and moved on with life.But throughout these months and the months prior to the concert,i feel we have grown somewhat.

 

During the section meeting a few weeks back and i reflected on the growth of the section.I realised we have really gone a long way.I remembered the times when i was totally new to the choir and no one really guided me well.People did help me out and stuff,but not to that extent like what Nic Foo did for me during carolling that year.Though he’s in Warwick now and we rarely talk now,he mentored me through that hard period of time when i was the only bass other than the occasoinal him.Til now,he’s someone i look up to with great respect.Now i’m somehow the section leader of a bass section of only 3 people,now that Matthew has left us and moved on.The teaching task has been passed on to me and well,it was a challenge,especially for the concert.But the basses’ improvement isn’t just my effort.Everyone really played a part in it,asking to meet earlier on practise days and stuff.The other basses helped me,which in tured helped Desmond.

 

6months have passed and times have changed though the 3 of us still remain.Luke’s much better now.Andrew’s more committed and stuff.However when Lucas says that right now we are a Christmas choir,i can’t help but agree.The choir never really bonded again after the concert.I won’t say it’s really bad,but u can tell how much of the enthusiasm has died.People go but no one comes.New friends are made and old friendships have reached a knot in the string.

 

Change is gonna occur soon again,but no matter what happens,it is still Halmm=).

 

So now it is 2:12am on a Friday morning,20 June 2008 as i am typing this.Angie will come over in 18mins.And life moves on.

ANYWAY.I’ve got a WAFF breifing on Saturday 9 55am at NUS L15 or T15 i forgot the 1st letter.They just said at least ONE representative show up,so i guess that i should go.But i hope Leonard can tag along since he’s the one whose contacting the warm and fuzzy people hahahaz.I need to confirm with him.I could dowith some company too,and i dun really wanna ask Namie.She seems like a real busy person (i think).Since WAFF is a NUS thing,i wonder if Desmond’s involved in it.

 

School work is almost done.Just other floor plan and plotting and a possible model.On the other hand i have a pretty upset stomach today=(

So i’ve not been so regular now.Yesterday i finally completed both elevations and now i’m just left with section.Apparently doing work goes well with watching anime on Youtube hahaz.Watched finished Saiyuki Reload Gunlock at long last.Took me 2 days to watch everything.Well,i watched the previous 2 series,obviously i can’t miss the last one right?And the antagonist is damn irritating.Though i read some of the manga,i found him even more irritating on the anime itself.

 

Ok i’m stuck with section now.As in,i dunno which part of my plans i should cut through!!!

Ok.Today jammed again.Was quite pissed off with the mic problem again.Tml jamming again and we’ll prob face the same stupid mic problem.But anyway,yea jamming was good.Though i felt that the feel of some songs weren’t really there,everything went rather smoothly,especially Reason Why.How Deep Is You Love was really realy shaky,but we got things sorted out quickly.Hmm.Yea.

 

Went home after that to laze for around and change bag and off to church.Dad drove to church=).So glad that he’s back from US.I did not really like the hymns sung today other than the last song which i really enjoyed.Today there were less people who turned up for mass too.Maybe our latin parts of mass scared them away hahaz.Walked to Thomson Plaza with the choir and was singing random songs alongside Luke,who finally got his ezlink card back and i got mine back too.Haha was pretty funny,though i was pretty dazed from tiredness.Subway with Desmond,Crystal,Nicole Siew and Lucas.For the 1st time i did not juggle falling meatballs while eating the meatball marinara.Instead,i had mustard all over my hands.Euck.Chatted with Crystal on the way back.She mentioned Opeth has got a new album?Hmm would like to hear it,since the new guitarist was from Arch Enemy.I’m quite amazed at the speed of Opeth’s studio works too lol.And our most fav song from Dark Passion Play was the same song-Last Of The Wilds.Ironically it is an instrumental and the whole album was the whole hoo haa about the new vocalist Anette Olzon.Hahaz.Even the vocal version of it wasn’t sung by he and ironically it’s Nightwish’s best selling single lol.Crazy and ironic.

 

Night prac was TIRING and frustrating for me since i had to teach the basses 2 new songs and i won’t say they were easy.No no they weren’t.The 2nd song really frustrated me greatly and also because i really hated the bass parts.As in seriously,it doesn’t even have a melody!It’s as if the arranger just randomly placed bass notes there which fitted the song and the chordal structure.We scraped our way passed it anyway.Damn shacked,went home straight away after night prac.Don’t think i’m watching Euro match tonight.I got jamming tomorrow again anyway.Yup.
