Omg I’m not talking about Tassie life for once, cos I actually did something.

Keywords: Tassie life, cos I did meet my unimates today lol.

I met Naz and Annabelle prior to yesterday, but it still nice to see them again along with Ashrul and Alicia (Logen couldn’t make it in the end).

We headed to JB for some cafe hopping and major catching up and discussions of each other’s future. An even blend of laughter and seriousness, I guess they needed it as a break from work, and I needed it as a break from looking for work haha.

I managed to take some portraits as well, which is quite a joy to me. Before the first shot was captured, Annabelle asked me, ‘So should I look at the camera, or away to the side (in Singlish of course)?’ and we paused and had that moment and were like, oh my god it’s really been awhile. We both missed it.

I have to admit that the food and drinks were all pretty decent, and cheap of course. No regrets waking up early and dragging my ass across the causeway and back. It was a sweltering hot day though, I bet all of us were as sticky as duct tape after that.

Happy days.

Dubsmash Level Extreme

I was clearing some of my data in my phone when I chanced upon some funny dubsmash vids I did with my friends back in Tassie.

I would share it here, but there’s been this duo in Singapore that has taken dubsmashing to a whole new extreme level, I’m just gonna share it anyway. And when I share it, it puts my own videos to shame lol.

Level too extreme already.

Hey guys look what I found!

School trip to Trowunna Wildlife Park during Orientation Week! This was when I was still so damn blur to Tasmania. Look at me now. Lol.

With Eun Seo out on a random outing to town for portraits and coffee.

International dessert night! We self organized it and it was a success!

First ever DS presentation done.

Naz and I rented a car to Woolmers to take more photos for our assignment. When we were leaving the place, turns out the car battery had died. We gave an SOS call to the three musketeers Amir, AJ and Saiful and they came over with the cables to our rescue. They took over an hour to come though, so yeah, we took jump shots lol.

WE LOVE TASMANIA!

Melbourne!!

Nikki’s post-semester house party. Also known as the party where that crazy chick flashed her tits.

This was a really enjoyable gathering at Amir and gang’s place. 🙂

Yes I still love you Amir hahaha.

Roxy’s house-warming. 😀

Hello Bay of Fires!

Hello Wineglass Bay!

Goodbye Hanne. 😦

I called Roxy the day I landed back in Tassie and she immediately got on her bicycle and rode over. 🙂

The SSA girls have always been a colourful bunch. 3 girls btw, the other one is Naz with his long hair. 😛

Off to Hobart. 🙂

Made new friends in Hobart. Hope all is well, Asami! 🙂

All smiles in the abandoned asylum.

Hi Ras.

How can you not like Burger Got Soul.

Hope you had a good surprise birthday, Shelia! Thanks for housing my car over the summer break. 🙂

Always loving Devonport too. 🙂

Catarct Gorge photoshoot with the fav friend.

Did I mention that Su Ni was kinda my secret friend? Like we hang out and stuff, but we never really talk to each other in school lol. Everyone’s pretty surprised that we are both close. During this steamboat, which was on the eve of the start of the World Cup 2014, everyone came over on their own and everyone left together, except the people living here, Luke and I, and one other person stayed back – Su Ni. She stayed over to sleep over and catch the World Cup with me. Everyone was so surprised haha. This routine becamea daily thing throughout the World Cup (minus the steamboat). I think she slept on the sofa more than her own bed for that month lol.

Pre Sydney Jam. Planning what songs to do and jamming online lol.

Sydney Botanical Gardens. 🙂 No idea why we took a pic by the toilet lol.

World Cup 2014 Final at Lecture Theatre 5! 😀

Ashrul what are you doing?

No one could tame the alpaca except me. It was so obedient towards me, the farmer even let me walk it all the way to its enclosure and lock it in. 🙂

Lei Kuan’s surprise birthday party.

Pang Khai’s birthday too!

Under a starry night.

I should be the face of Tassie’s East Coast lol. Or Lisdillon at least.

Happy days. 🙂

What’s Launnie without Koreana?

Honey farm. 🙂

Photo and video shoot with Nicco.

Liffey Falls. We just HAD to take the more difficult routes.

Tessellated Pavements along Eaglehawk Neck. Act cool only.

Hi marshmallow!

Mount Wellington. High siol.

Logen san’s birthday dinner.

Hi.

Er, yeah.

I miss this place, the Tamar Island Wetlands.

Erm.

Never ever get sick of this bunch. 🙂

Amazing friends who saw me depart Launnie for the final time.

Everyone remembers graduation day, right? Heck, I still remember my poly graduation lol.

Good times.

It was the first time graduating overseas. I was told the summer graduation ceremony was way longer, I guess I am lucky to graudate in winter then? There wasn’t that city walk though, just a walk to the hotel to return the gown lelz.

Saw some old archi faces like Eve and Hayden. Reunited with Su Ni as well, who flew down from Melbourne just to attend the ceremony. Met familiar faces such as Eun Seo (I kinda see her almost everyday at Leprena anyway) and Priscilla (It’s been awhile!). Was also thankful and appreciative for the other friends who dropped by to celebrate this special day with me. I don’t know how people will be so willing to miss graduation.

Thanks Chai for the sudoku puzzle book, I tackled 5 of them today in the office.

Disclaimer: Not actually very strong.

Chet probably saw a pretty girl to go after.

Chet realized the girl isn’t that pretty after all.

Glad to have partnered with her for DS. We weren’t the best, but we gave it our all. Really great friend.

Amazing people.

Family.

Half a year late for the party, but we 3 made it!

Disclaimer: Daniel’s not my father.

Chet’s probably thinking he should have gone for that pretty girl after all.
Hello.

Photos by me:

Always loving my H for Hudson boots.

Yay!

Standard sibling photo.

Where’s my name where’s my name?

During the opening procession, Su Ni mentioned how she was jealous that their hats are nicer. I told her to work hard so that in the future she will wear the hat too. That’s the only reason for sucess – the hat. She nodded her head with determination.

Speaking of Su Ni, this is the only photo of just the two of us together (if you ignore everyone else around). Really glad to have such a friend stick with me all the way. I remembered driving off in the middle of the night at 1-2am during a heavy downpour. I drove to nowhere. I was out for about a good hour plus. When I reached home close to 4am, I checked my phone and I saw her message to message her when I got back (I met her earlier for supper, this was the day I received my failure grade). I messaged her and she replied instantly, saying she was relieved and that she can go to sleep now. Blessed.

Didn’t hang out much with Eun Seo that much as the years went by, but we definitely stuck through hard times together as well.

Love this photo.

But this one is nicer.

Typical photo of Chai and I.

There were definitely tons of undocumented memories that need digging up as well. So many memories, not enough tears. From the exchange friends in 2013 to the new friends in 2015. From the friends I have only met for awhile to those that have stuck by me for the whole journey. I will always remember.

I thank you.

Exit 2015: Me.

I realized there isn’t that much to write about for 2015, having already written lenghty posts about my multiple Hobart road trips and my Melbourne trip in June with Isabel.

In all honestly I didn’t really travel around that much in 2015, something which I kind of regret.

During the month of April a few of us got together to play bubble soccer and we assumed the team name after Chai. It was really for fun and it really was fun. My friends might have second or third thoughts playing it again but I did enjoy it. What was more baffling was that we jokers who were constantly abused by the other teams got 2nd place.

The majority of the semester was spent doing stuff which a student has to do during his semester. Even those Hobart trips were school related and not 100% leisure, well, maybe 98.17% leisure. That being said, I was glad to be able to find a nice group of friends to work with. Was lucky to have a good DS partner as well. This partner assumed the form of Adele Ong, whose study time streams merged with mine this year; she retook a year 2 unit while I retook a year 3 unit, hence a sense of relativity in the time stream for our course of education.

After the semester ended I went to Melbourne with Bel and when I was back, there were other stuffs of a smaller nature which I felt blessed to be a part of. SG50 was one of them, despite me being overseas. The school, or rather, Ellie and gang, organized a simple SG50 gathering in archi school. Though a small crowd, the fact that it attracted fellow Singaporeans from other faculties proved it to be a success.Singapore always has problems, but Singapore is still my home. Remember phenomenology, guys? Singapore is the home that invokes my sense of being in a place of comfort (despite the heat being so uncomfortable *&$%&*).

Look how much my hair has grown from April (bubble soccer) to August (SG50) lol.

There was the most unnecessary surprise party ever planned as well. It was all really good intentions and was planned with love and warmth, but there really wasn’t a need to hold a farewell party for me. It would have been easier if I just slipped away back to Singapore quietly, but thanks guys. I still appreciated it.

Notice how my hairstyle has changed as well? Heh.

Shall write about the long awaited big day the next time.
